Free career guidance for young Nigerians

Your future deserves more than guesswork.

Career Pathways helps young Nigerians make better-informed career decisions by helping them understand themselves, explore career possibilities, build relevant skills and gain real-world experience.

Free during the pilot · In person at schools and campuses · Online self-assessment for ages 12+

The problem

Knowing you need a career is not the same as knowing how to build one.

Young Nigerians make big decisions about subjects, courses and work with limited information, guidance and exposure. Two gaps sit underneath.

The Awareness Gap

Do I know what suits me?

Many young people don't yet know their strengths, interests and values well enough to choose, or which careers fit them and what those careers can realistically offer.

The Roadmap Gap

Do I know how to get there?

Others know what they want but not what to study, which skills and experience to build, or which step to take first.

How it works

One connected journey, from first questions to next steps.

We don't tell young people what career to choose. We help them build the information, self-awareness, skills and exposure to decide for themselves.

Why Career Pathways

More than a one-off career talk.

Most career support is a single session. CPI stays with you through every stage, with people, practice and real exposure.

Real workplace exposure
  • Human-led

Real people, conversations and coaching, not an algorithm choosing for you.

  • Self-awareness first

Exploration starts with understanding what you enjoy, do well and value.

  • Real-world exposure

Supervised time in workplaces, projects and internships, not just talks.

  • Practical skills

Skills that help you move through education and into work.

  • Continuous coaching

Support that carries on as your plans change, not a one-off session.

  • Evidence-informed

We measure what changes and improve the programme as we learn.

Impact

We measure progress by what changes for young people.
